ACCOMMODATION
Choose from a wide range of accommodation
There is a wide range of accommodation for you to choose from on the Peak Way. A full list of a range of accommodation is included in the the Accommodation List, and provides over 140 options for you to choose from in planning your walk, but they are not recommendations.
The list includes, hotels, pubs, bed and breakfasts, YHAs, campsites and glamping sites. It includes the name, address, phone number, email address and, a website where there is one.
Book early
The Peak District is very popular with tourists and so it advisable to book well in advance. Also, please be aware that not all providers take single-night stays and there is a minimum two or three nights stay at some accommodation.
Where providers do not take single night bookings, it may be feasible to stay for two or three nights and use transport to return to your accommodation and to get to your next start point on the following day(s). Some accommodation providers are “hiker friendly” and may offer to collect you at the end of your day’s walk, or take you to your start point the next day but you should check this, if necessary, when you book accommodation. Some providers also provide facilities such as drying rooms for wet boots and clothing and some will provide packed lunches whilst others will not.
Hope Valley area
It might be helpful to know that when you're in the Hope Valley area, you can if you wish, book accommodation in one location for this part of the route because there are stations at Edale, Hope, Bamford and Grindleford on the Manchester to Sheffield railway line. This means that you can walk a stage of the route and then return to your chosen location by train.
